I was trying to decide whether to get a Sunsetter awning or a permanent pergola for shade purposes. I'm glad I chose the Sunsetter! A pergola would be a permanent fixture - no choice of allowing sun in if I wanted.… This way, I have the best of both world, sun Or shade! And it gives the patio a nice finished look from both inside and out!

Gives character to the house, adds hours of patio time in the shade. Looks good at night too.

The sunsetter was installed in 2025 and am eagerly waiting for 2025 season to use again. It allowed me more time to enjoy the outside protected from the sun. It was easy to roll out and in. Assuming the same for this year. If I were to need assistance the installers left me confident that the company would be available.

For the first time since I bought my house 16 years ago, I am finally able to sit comfortably on my patio. My patio gets the full sun all day and the older I get the less and less I can sit in the sun. In addition, the umbrella for my patio table is not large enough to block all the sun and I had to keep moving from chair to chair to get out of the sun that the umbrella didn't cover. It's only been one year since the awning was installed but so far so good.

We love the new awning! Really like the auto roll-ou/in feature! I was really happy with how easy the install was based upon the instructions and videos provided. I didn't comment on the quality of the product as we installed it late last summer, so I'll get a better feel for it this year where we will really get our use out of it!!
